Canine Good Citizen - CGC
AKC started the Canine Good Citizenship program in 1989 to reward dogs who have good behavior. Take the time to train and socialize your poodle.
Dogs must pass a series of test. They include:
- Accept a friendly stranger.
- Sitting politely for petting.
- Appearance and grooming
- Walk politely on a loose leash.
- Walking through a crowd.
- Sit and down on command and staying in place.
- Coming when called.
- Reaction to another Dog.
- Reaction to Distraction.
- Supervised separation.
