Your Poodle Resource for
Standard, Miniature and Toy Poodles

Rescue organizations have everything from puppies to adults.
HINT: An active puppy may not be the best choice for you. Puppies need to be housebroken, trained and take a considerable amount of time and energy. Don't forget that teething stage. A 4 month old puppy has an immature bladder and needs to go out about every four hours. That means trips out during the night. An adult has a mature bladder. Many rescue organizations have dogs that are already housebroken or have started the process. Senior dogs walk slower and need less exercise the perfect match for people who want to take life at a slower pace than a puppy.
The Process
Rescue organizations are very carefull in matching a dog with its new family. You will be required to fill out an application and provide references. Some organizations will do a home visit to check out yor home and area in which the dog will be exercised. Dogs will be spayed or neutered before being placed. An adoption fee is usually required. Everything is done to ensure the best possible placement for the poodle into its new forever home.
